Little Brook, NS – December 2, 2022: To help mark its fifth annual Season of Giving campaign, the Municipality of the District of Clare will once again be accepting donations for local charities, contributing to the Clare Food Bank and Les papas Noël de Clare in lieu of a holiday party and – new this year – joining private- and public-sector partners in hosting a special community lunch.

Little Brook (N.S.) – November 24, 2022: A crowd of more than 200 spectators bundled up on the evening of November 24 to observe the Municipality of Clare’s very first trap tree lighting ceremony at Joseph-et-Marie-Dugas Municipal Park in Belliveau Cove.

A collaboration between the Municipality’s Recreation Services and its Welcoming Francophone Communities initiative, the tree made of more than 150 lobster traps serves as an ode to Clare’s lobster fishing industry, a vital economic driver for the community. The opening of LFA 34 is scheduled for next week, weather permitting.

Little Brook (N.S.) – November 9, 2022: Entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry in the municipalities of Clare and Argyle brainstormed future business ideas during customized workshops with renowned Nova Scotia food ambassador Alain Bossé (The Kilted Chef) in August and October 2022.

On Monday, November 7, Communauté francophone accueillante de Clare had the honour of co-hosting the Provincial Forum on the State of Francophone Immigration in Nova Scotia with its partner the Réseau en immigration francophone de la Nouvelle-Écosse at the Rendez-vous de la Baie Welcome Centre on the campus of Université Sainte-Anne.
